Custom Window Systems doesn’t get the attention and publicity as other manufacturers. They company gets good marks on their impact windows and they should be priced competitively with PGT and perhaps a bit higher than Simonton. Contractors like many of the features that the windows include, although the company does not make their impact windows in a double hung. The reason they use a single hung window instead of a double hung is to make sure that the windows will be hurricane code compliant. Browse below to check our all of our CWS Windows reviews.
The Windows: CWS sells a number of different windows and doors, including the Comfort Shield and Fortify, which are both non impact rated windows. Additionally, the company sells the Hurricane Guard and StormStrong, both of which are impact rated.
Company Rating: 7.5 out of 10
Price Point: 8.0 out of 10
Bottom Line: Custom Window Systems is a quality company for Florida based homeowners. I would strongly urge a bid from them (along with three other quality manufacturers) in order to see what series they recommend and what price point they offer.

CWS Windows Reviews And Pricing
Bill, my husband and I stumbled across your site and we are very glad we did. We have been doing lots of research on window replacements, but feel like we are getting the run around from many of them. Specifically, this whole initial price and then suddenly they’re wheeling and dealing and then the window price is suddenly 40% lower. It’s mind boggling. So, I’d like to cut to the chase and get your opinion on our 3 impact windows for a 1500 square foot town home outside of Tampa. This is what we have received so far:
Mister Window (Viwinco Oceanview series) $8K initial offer that they dropped to $5.7K
STH Windows (Custom Window Systems 8000 series) $5.7K
Karoly Windows (Simonton Stormbreaker Plus Series) $6.1K
Armorvue (not sure what window) $16.7 initial offer that they dropped to $8.4K

Sarah, I like the first three options there. Honestly, the CWS 8000 series is probably the best of the bunch. However, the Oceanview and the Stormbreaker Plus are both excellent as well. While I don’t love the price tags, they are probably the fair market price (not the ArmorVue quote). Therefore, I would make the decision between these three options based on which company has the better reputation and reviews.

CWS Windows Prices
Bill, I am getting impact windows here in Florida. The company that a friend recommended to me is recommending installing CWS Storm Strong 6100 windows. Another company was recommending the Wincore 8800 Series. The bids are close in cost and I am not sure which one to go with. Finally, thanks for your feedback!

Brian, the CWS StormStrong 6100 series is quite good, as is the Wincore 8800. Both quite nice impact windows, I would say they are very close in quality. Additionally, I might suggest that you make your decision by looking at the installation team that would be doing the work. Lastly, I think this is where you might find the best value for your project.
